"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?" -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Hello, I'm James E. Crenshaw, CFCM, NIGP-CPP, CPPO. It is a privilege to lead the Washington DC Chapter of NIGP, a nonprofit organization and a chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, Inc. (NIGP), comprised of public procurement professionals in the Metropolitan Washington area of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia who share a common objective of promoting excellence, increasing awareness and elevating the prestige of our profession.
The DC Chapter strives to achieve its main goal to provide the necessary education, professional development and technical assistance required for DC Chapter members to evolve and apply successful and efficient practices while promoting the fair and transparent fundamentals of public procurement.
The DC Chapter organizes meetings and events where members and their procurement colleagues in the area have the opportunity to meet and discuss best practices, network, and participate in educational discourse with local prominent professionals from various fields of expertise.
It is my honor to serve as the Washington DC Chapter President to ensure the fulfillment of the needs of the DC Chapter membership and to continuously improve the stature of the DC Chapter in the local area.
My best regards to all!
